Is a booster box of DOOD worth opening?
Yes, on average it pays off: selling the cards from a DOOD box would get you $49.63, more than the $40.19 it costs. But that's an average: a typical box gives $45.92 and only 65% of boxes get your money back.
How reliable the rates are: fair (community estimate).

Where the numbers come from
The expected value adds up, for each rarity group, the copies in a box times the average price of its cards (the English card, with its TCGplayer price or, if there isn't one, Cardmarket's converted). The simulation opens 10,000 boxes with the same rates.
2025-2026 core booster. 9-card pack: 8 commons and 1 foil (a Super Rare or, in its place, an Ultra or Secret Rare), no rares. Per 24-pack box, 18 Super, 4 Ultra and 2 Secret Rares on average: Konami's official 2015 ratio, which the community treats as still current; Konami hasn't restated it. Starlight: Konami says it shows up "at about the same rate" as the Quarter Century Secret of the previous years (1 in 3 or 4 boxes, a market estimate); a count of about 12 Blazing Dominion boxes gives 1 in 3.
