Where the numbers come from
The expected value adds up, for each rarity group, the copies in a box times the average price of its cards (the English card, with its TCGplayer price or, if there isn't one, Cardmarket's converted). The simulation opens 10,000 boxes with the same rates.
English wiki box breakdown (no stated sample): 7 commons, 3 uncommons, 1 rare and 1 rare-or-better slot per pack; per box, 168 commons, 72 uncommons, about 39 rares, 7 Super Rares, 1 alternative art and another alternative art or a Secret Rare; per 12-box case, 8 Secret Rares and 16 alternative arts. No source splits the Super Rare alternative arts from the Secret Rare ones: they are shared out by card count. Hits carry a ±25% range. Box toppers don't count.
